LEADLIGHTED CONSERVITORY
This project was one of the greatest challenges.
Originally it was an open deck with a glorious view over majestic gardens to the hills of the Wombat Forrest beyond, with plastic blinds offering some form of shelter.
The customer had in hand a picture of a lead lighted conservatory with a central floral design to each archway, this concept to me took away from the gardens and the view. So it was now up to me to come up with a design that added all the colour she wanted but did not hinder the outlook in any way at all.
This art form in lead light to me is the most beautiful.
It is known as FLORID VICTORIAN. The flow and the movement is almost infinite, it is the most appealing to me in clear frosted glasses of all natures, but adapts itself to colours when carefully chosen to blend one with the other, these colours we have here are selected to match all existing décor, carpet, furniture, ornaments, etc.
Finally when all this design work was near completion she decided she would like to have a peacock down in the far end larger archway saying “Look at me, I`m the centre of all this.” Hence the open beak! The concept of this peacock came as an awesome challenge, but I do think we achieved our object.
